SoCal Curls Heatless Curling

Sometimes my hair can be such a time consuming mess to deal with in the morning. I have naturally thick curly/wavy hair {depending on the weather} and wash my hair twice a week and once on the weekends and try to get 2-3 days out of one hair washing. After washing my hair to style it I usually blow it half-way dry with a hair dryer and then once it’s half-way dry I use a roller brush to help straighten it out, the next step is hot rollers, then once the hot rollers are out I take a straightener and straighten from the root to a little less than halfway down, and the last step is to go over the bottom half with a curling iron. For 1-day old hair and 2-day old hair I usually just go over it in the mornings with a curling iron and if it’s a little unruly I use the hot rollers then follow up with a curling iron.
Around December I was able to connect with SoCal Curls and try out one of their heatless hair warps and let me just say it is anAMAZING product! In all honestly I had my doubts about whether or not it would actually work and the result was just wow! You either can put it in in the morning or at night and sleep in it. Since I sleep with my hair pulled up anyways I decided to sleep with it in and take my hair down in the morning. I waited till the end of the day to take the after pictures of my hair, because I wanted to see if the curls held and my hair actually looked better as the day went on. Below are the steps on how to use SoCal Curls heatless curling tool and the end result! I also used this video to learn exactly how to use SoCal Curls heatless curling band
Step 1: Before we get started the SoCal heatless curling bands come in so many cute patterns, but I chose the Navy Floral print, mainly because I am a sucker for florals. Now onto the first step – you put the headband in the microwave for 20-30 seconds, once it is heated up you just tie it around your head.
Step 2: All you have to do is start wrapping sections of hair around the hairband going up then over the head wrap. I started on the right side and once I got almost to the back I switched over to the left, then once the back section is left all you have to do is tuck it into the band. Also when you are wrapping sections around the hairband just remember, like with a curling iron, the smaller the section the tighter the curl, the bigger the section the more lose it will be.
Step 3: Leave it up and let it work its magic! If chose to use your SoCal Curl band in the morning you probably want to leave it up for about 30 minutes, and if you chose to sleep in it just take it out in the morning!
Step 4: Be in awe of the results of SoCal Curls! Highly recommend this product

  10. Bloody Hell your hair looks amazing! It even looks great tied up in that thing! I read the first part of the post and though 'blimey charlie' that sounds complicated, read about the cloth thing and got really excited because I love curls but am literally unable to master any type of curling device. My heart sunk when you said 'microwave' because I don't have one - I am assuming it would not work in an old oven hahaaa? Europafox x

    1. Since you don't have a microwave I bet you could just heat the hair wrap up with a blow dryer. When I take it out of the microwave it is just warm to the touch - not overly hot or too hot to handle by any means and it produces such beautiful curls!

    1. This is actually the first heatless product I've used where I've had success with it and it is amazing! I been using it for the past few nights, and the more you use it and get use to it the easier it is to use and I love the curls and body it gives!
