Welcome to A Touch of Southern
Grace, my name is Lauren! I launched my blog Christmas Eve of 2012. A Touch of
Southern Grace is an outlet to share my love of fashion, style, books, movies, travel,
and everything that has to do with Southern lifestyle. I enjoy beautiful dresses, traveling, reading the next best book or an old favorite, I'm somewhat
of a foodie (still working on the cooking thing...), a connoisseur of Coca-Cola
in a glass bottle (they're the best!) , bubbly drinks, and I love black &
white movies.
I am a Nashville native through
and through - I attended an all-girls catholic high school, St. Cecilia
Academy, and went on to attend a liberal arts college, Lipscomb University,
where I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree. Despite the fact of
living in Nashville my entire life I love to travel and experience new things,
but honestly could not imagine calling anywhere else home; in the words of Amy
Grant, "a tender Tennessee Christmas is the only Christmas for
me".
In my free time you can find me hanging out with friends and/or family, reading, playing tennis, loving on
my dogs (Coco and Ella), trying out the newest Nashville restaurant, or just
relaxing and watching one of my favorite movies or binge watching
Netflix.
A Few Fun Facts About Me
- Seaside, FL. is my
favorite beach and my happy place
- I can't resist anything with a
bow, a tasteful amount of sparkle, blue, or monograms
- I'm 5'6
- Growing up my sister and I had matching Christmas pajamas every year and have carried the tradition
over into adulthood
- I'm slightly afraid of the
dark, but can't fall asleep unless my bedroom is pitch black
- Tacos, Sushi, and Pizza are my
all time favorite foods
- When I was little I wanted to
be Grace Kelly when I grew up (weird kid, I know...)
- My favorite flowers are light
pink peonies
- I consider leopard and plaid a
legitimate color
- I'm a Vanderbilt football fan
- When I'm at the mall, Nordstrom, J. Crew, Tory Burch, Free People, Kate Spade, Lilly Pulitzer and
Madewell are my favorite go-to stores, and of course I will always walk across
the street to take a spin through Anthropologie, obviously. Then there are just
too many online shopping sites I love to list them all
- I always end the day with a
few pages of a good book
