Movies For A Rainy Day

Rainy days are hands down the best day to watch a movie! After all who wants to get out in a storm when they don’t have to? In Nashville and in many other parts are the South this week it has been raining like crazy; believe me, there is nothing I’d rather do then put on some yoga pant, cuddle up with the coziest blanket I can find, pop some popcorn, and watch a movie. Since it has been raining pretty much everywhere so far this week I thought I would share a few movies that would be perfect for a rainy day!
You’ve Got Mail – I first saw this movie when I was in the sixth grade and have loved it ever since, it is without a doubt my favorite movie. You’ve Got Mail is one of those movies that never gets old; I have to admit I have watched this movie twice in one day.
Rear Window – Grace Kelly is my style icon and my favorite actress, plus Jimmy Stewart is also my favorite actor of this time period. This movie has everything: fashion, love, and suspense.
Forrest Gump – This movie is a classic and if you haven’t seen it you seriously need to rent it!
Enchanted – I used to watch this movie all the time in college, before I went to bed – is anyone ever really too old to enjoy a good Disney movie…I think not! The music and story line is bound to leave you with a smile on your face.
Amityville Horror – Sometimes a rainy day calls for a scary movie, besides every now and than it’s fun to be a little afraid. Amityville is the scariest movie I will do and quit honestly the photo in this post alone is giving me a little case of the creeps.

What are some of your favorite movies to watch on a rainy day?

Rain, Rain, Go Away

It is safe to say that it has been raining cats and dogs in Nashville so far this week. I absolutely love a rainy day when I am able to stay in, pop some popcorn, watch a great movie or read a book, and just curl up under a cozy blanket and listen to the rain fall. Most days it seems like there is always something that needs to be done or somewhere to be rain or shine! On those terribly rainy days I always break out my favorite pair of rain boots and grab an umbrella on the way out the day, after all, who wants to be cold, wet, and stuck with a bad hair day. Above are a few of my favorite umbrellas and rain boots to survive the rainy day and of course maintain a good hair day!
