The
weather in Nashville is always very unpredictable this time of year; one day it
could be 75 the next 40. During this transitional time of the year it is wise
to have a classic trench coat and a cable knit sweater on hand. I have been
following Nantucket Brand Clothing Co. on Instagram and Facebook for a good
while now; let me just say, if you are a fan of cable knits, nautical themed
clothing, and all things classic you will love this company!
NantucketBrand Clothing Co. was founded in 2005 and I am impressed with what this
company has accomplished and the quality of products they have managed to
produce in just 10 short years of being in business. Each item produced by this
company is inspired by generations on Nantucket and is meant to fit the
“Nantucket lifestyle”.
I
received this oh so classic crewneck cable knit sweater a few weeks ago from Nantucket Brand Clothing Co. and am just now getting a chance to
share it with you due to icepocalypse, snowpocalypse, and then the rain and
windy weather… I’m so relieved that sunny days are starting to make a regular
appearance again. Confession: I may or may not have worn this sweater way too
many times since I received it a few weeks ago.
One thing
I love about cable knits {especially navy ones} is how versatile they are. So
far I have styled this sweater with jeans and leggings and fully intend to wear
it with a white skirt on those cool spring and summer nights.
For this
post I choose to style the classic Nantucket Brand Clothing Co. navy cable knitsweater my favorite way, of course. Since we are sill in the early days of
spring I styled the cable knit with an oxford shirt underneath, black pixiepants, Tory Burch flats, and to finish off the look a trench coat {similar} and a pair of
sunglasses. I love the fit of the sweater, the material feels great, hasn’t
stretched out, and seems to hold its shape very well. As a side note I usually
wear an XS in sweaters but decided to order a small in this sweater; I prefer cable
knits to be a little roomy.
