I know
some people are ready to move on from the Holiday season, but I’m one of those
people that would never grow tired of the excitement of Christmas and the
decorations, even if it were a part of the everyday décor. That said I just had
to do one more Christmasey picture on the blog while it is still acceptable to
have a tree up. While we’re on the topic...would it be horrible if I didn’t
take my tree down till next weekend? I mean it’s so cold outside, if it’s not
going to snow you might as well use it as an excuse to enjoy some Christmas
lights and music a little longer….right…?
This week
was like the week of cutness overload on the internet. Spoiler Alert: Fiona the
hippo’s first birthday is being celebrated in the cutest way possible!
I
received this Polaroid as a Christmas present, and now I am completely obsessed
with Polaroids and want to upgrade to one that will print out the standard size
pictures. I honestly don’t know why Polaroid cameras ever went away. 98% of the
time it takes a good picture, you have a copy of it right away, and it’s like
it has built in photo edit – you never have bags or wrinkles under your eyes
and your hair always looks on point 100% of the time.
I loved
American girls growing up. I’ll never forget the Christmas when I was six years
old I unwrapped my very first doll, Samantha {obviously}, I was hooked. In all
honesty I was in Chicago or New York and the opportunity present itself to go
have lunch at the American Girl Doll store I would jump at the opportunity -
#livingoutchildhooddreams. Earlier this week American Girl released its newest
doll, Luciana, who dreams of being the first person to girl to Mars. Cute and
empowering all at the same time!

The Southern Pup Giveaway
I am
hosting a giveaway on this blog that closes at midnight Wednesday night. I have
teamed up with The Southern Pup company to giveaway a dog collar of the winners
choice from their website and let me just say they are pretty much beyond
adorable. I like the flower and bow on the collar for Ella, but if your dog is more
of the outdoorsy/ ruff and tuff type the bow/flower on the collar is also
detachable!
Ok, this is
the second time Mother Nature has passed over Nashville and denied a bit of
that beautiful white powder; hopefully she gets us on the next round. However,
the pictures that Garden & Gun put together on their website of Charleston
in the snow is truly stunning!
I had to
say the cutest for last. I think I have a soft spot for Fiona the hippo because
her face, as weird as it sounds, reminds me of my dog, and let’s just face
facts, Fiona is super cute! I don’t know about you all, but I definitely plan
on giving Chunky Chunky Hippo a try.
