Well,
well look who finally decided to show up, our good friend, Friday! Oh, Friday,
what ever took you so long to arrive. Who else is in a fall state of mind and
has their fingers crossed that the cooler weather will soon arrive to usher in
sweater weather season? In all honesty this transitional time of year annoys me
a little, just because I never know what to wear: it’s 90 outside, but October,
and I always end up in a sundress feeling slightly silly, because, after all it
is fall… I need a sweater to go with my pumpkin flavored beverages, right…
Anyhow, despite the warm weather I am still embracing all things fall! I hope
everyone has had a wonderful week and that it continues into an even more
wonderful weekend. Here’s to cheering on your favorite team, sipping on some
hot apple cider, enjoying an outdoor fire, and spending time with friends and family. Cheers!

4 sprigs fresh mint
½ glass
shaved ice
2 ounces dark rum
Pour the sugar into a tall glass
and add water. Add the mint, shaved ice, and rum, and mix well.
