Halloween Inspiration

When I was younger I was an equal lover of all holidays. The decorations, the lights, the continuous change over from one holiday to the next, for about four straight months I was completely enamored by everything that surrounded me. When October would roll around I was bouncing off of the wall 24/7 out of sheer excitement, and of course, because of an occasional sugar rush. I have always viewed Halloween as the holiday that ushers in Thanksgiving and Christmas.

One of my most favorite things about Halloween was seeing all the different ways people would decorate their homes. Back in the day there were these two streets in Nashville that were know for their Halloween decoration. One house every year would have a reenactment of the French Revolutionary War set up in their front yard; to an eleven year old it was absolutely amazing, one year they even had a full size guillotine {the prop version, obviously} one year.

I don’t think I would ever go so far as to put a fake guillotine in my front year, but overboard on pumpkins and mums, without a doubt, yes. When I have grownup house one day I fully intend to decorate large, but for now, here is a little inspiration via Pinterest.
