Tacos are
hands down my favorite food. I mean… a taco shell is basically a vehicle of
endless culinary possibilities. If a taco shell is handy you have breakfast,
lunch, dinner, and desert covered for the day. Incase you can’t tell, huge fan
of tacos over here.
One good
thing that has come out of Nashville’s population increase is a significant
improvement in restaurants. I’m kind of a foodie and love the fact that there
are at least a couple new restaurants opening every month. But obviously, my
favorite restaurants are the Mexican restaurants. Since today is national taco
day I thought it would be fun to share my top 5 favorite Nashville taco places with
you all!
BarTaco// It’s almost embarrassing to admit, but I eat at Bar Taco every single
Saturday. My boyfriend and I always have the same 5 minute conversation when we
get there of is there another place in Nashville we should try for lunch? And
the answer is always ‘nope, why mess with a good thing?’. The guacamole is
probably the best in Nashville, the tacos are the perfect size, and there is
something about their decorations that never fails to make me feel like I am
close to the ocean.
Kayne Prime// Okay, I know Kayne Prime is technically a steak, but their duck tacos
are out of this world. I’m not even a fan of duck meat, but these tacos are the
exception.
Mas Tacos// These are probably the most authentic, gourmet, street food, tacos you
will be able to get in Nashville. They are located in a hole of a restaurant in
East Nashville, but don’t judge the book by the cover, because these taco are
simply delicious.
San Antonio Taco Company {aka Satco}// Probably not the best tacos in Nashville,
but I associate this place with so many fun high school and college memories,
and post Steeplechase outings, that I had to include it in my list. Every time
I go to Satco I always get such a
nostalgic feeling, and lets face it, their queso sauce is sooo good.
Taqueria del Sol// It took me forever to actually try this place; the line is always so ridiculously
long… My mom and my sister wanted to try
it, and I can honestly say the line is definitely worth the wait. The best way
I can think to describe this restaurant is a happy medium between BarTaco and
Chipolet.
