The
teaser trailer for the new one looks just as if not more so enchanting as the
original Mary Poppins. Obviously, Julie Andrew isn’t playing Mary Poppins in the new version, but Emily Blunt looks like she will be
able to follow in her footsteps flawlessly.
The new
version looks like it has three siblings in the movie – I’m hoping that they
are either Jane or Michael’s children. I love that Disney was able to
recognize the fact that the original Mary Poppins is a movie that just can’t be
duplicated, and it appears that they have put a fresh spin on the story instead.
I can’t wait to see the new coat of Disney magic that has been sprinkled on top
of such a classic story, that more than likely will be viewed by generations of
children, young and old.
This will be wonderful for a whole new generation of kids.
