Winter Survival Guide

Up until a couple years ago starting a little after the New Year winter used to really start to get to me, the cold, the short days, cold rainy weather, etc. I eventually decided to just embrace the season for what it is, and it is amazing how my perspective changed just because a slight adjustment, I think I might actually be sad to see winter end this year. I have come to love winter fashion {I may or may not have developed a slight outerwear problem}, the cozy nights spent by the fire watching a movie, all the holidays that come with the season and so on.

I have recently started to view winter as the perfect time of year to really take care of yourself, workout a little bit more, make some books off of your reading list, and catch up on some sleep. It can basically be viewed as the season of pampering since social activity seems to go down a little bit. However, not to sound overly dramatic, but there are just some items that I just couldn’t make it through the winter without…
Comfortable Pajamas// Cute and comfortable pajamas are a must this time of year. Honestly, is there anything better at the end of the day than putting on a fresh pair of PJs and climbing in bed to relax? Right now I am completely loving Lake Pajama’s star pajamas

Champagne Bears at Party Pack// Like I said it’s the season for pampering yourself and it never hurts to treat yourself to a few sweets here and there.

A Good Book//I am on my eighth book for 2018 ; I have to say that I am a little proud of myself for sticking to my resolutions! Along the Infinite Sea, by Beatriz Williams, is my next book I’m going to read and I am so excited because I have heard so many great things about this book

A Good Lipstick// The Dior Lip Glow is my new favorite thing at the moment. I love the natural look it gives and it is such a moisturizing beauty product.

Luxe Velvet Quilt// Let me just say that I LOVE this quilt! The color is not only stunning, but it is a dream quilt to curl up with or use as a blanket/ bed cover

Ok, I seriously do not know how I got through the winter without this product. Everyone need to have a tube of this hand lotion either in their handbag or bathroom

A Favorite Mug// In my honest opinion everyone needs a go-to mug that they either put their coffee in or heat up a little hot chocolate
Lip Balm// FRESH just came out with this new treatment and it’s amazing! It’s light weight, moisturizing, and has a beautiful tent to it.

Face Mask// I just started using face masks a few weeks ago and they are my new favorite thing! It is unreal the difference they can make.

Rainboots// In the South rainboots are definitely a must! You never know if it might rain or snow and rainboot always keep my feet so warm!

A Cozy Sweater// Everyone needs a cozy sweater and I am completely loving this one from J. Crew!

  1. Love these! I really need to invest in some great pajamas, and I have several favorite mugs that help get me through (with tea, in them, of course!)

    1. Tea is such a great caffeine alternative!

  2. Great List! I also love the Shea Butter Hand Cream. :)

  3. What a great way to look at the winter months...because really we don't have any control over it, so it does no good to complain!!
