My New Year's 2014 Goals

A BOOK I WILL READ IS THE FAULT IN OUR STARS BY JOHN GREEN: I have been wanting to read this book for the longest time! I hear The Fault In Our Starts is such a moving story line and is one of those books that makes you look at things a little differently after you read it. It has been a long time since I have read a book like this and I am very much looking forward to this read.

I WILL WORKOUT 4 TIMES A WEEK: I was horrible about working out on a regular bases in 2013! I really like to workout because it gets me in a better frame of mind and I feel more energized afterwards; it always seems so hard to find the time {a.k.a so much easier to go shopping, to dinner, sleep-in, etc.}. I feel like working out every other day, is a doable goal that I am going to stick to.

A BAD HABIT I WILL BREAK IS DRINKING TOO MUCH COCA-COLA: Some might think this is odd, but I have never been much of a coffee drinker so instead I drink coke. I have already gotten better about drinking less Coca-Cola; everything is better in moderation!

I WILL VOLUNTEER 30 HOURS THIS YEAR: I always try to contribute and do some volunteer work through out the year. There are so many programs out there that are in need of volunteers and I strongly encourage many of to do some service work this year; it is definitely a two-way reward experience.

I WILL TRAVEL TO CHICAGO: I love to travel but believe it or not I have not been to Chicago yet. I feel like this is such a well-know place that it is almost criminal I have not made the time to go; plus I hear they have really great shopping!

SOMETHING NEW I WOULD LIKE TO TRY IS YOGA: I have done Pilates and I am a fan of the elliptical {mainly because you can multi-task while doing this exercise: read, watch TV, answer emails} but I hear Yoga has many benefits beyond a just “get in shape”.

I WILL FINISH MAKING MY LIST OF A 101 IN 1001 DAYS: I have seen so many people make these list and I love the concept and motivational aspect of these list. I am in the process of making list of a 101 things to do in 1001 days and will hopefully finish it very soon!

I WILL TREAT MYSELF TO MAKING MORE TIME FOR MYSELF: I realize this goal sounds a little selfish, but I think it is important to make a little time for yourself where you unplug for a little bit and can truly just relax and collect your thoughts. I am horrible at saying “no” to people when they ask me to do things they need help with; during the month of December there were some nights where I was up till 2:00am doing things I wasn’t able to do during the day because I was running around doing so much.

What Are Some Of Your Goals/Resolutions For 2014?
