Happy Hour Time

Welcome, Welcome to the First Happy Hour post and first Friday of the New Year! I would like to wish everyone much luck in 2014, may this year be even better then the last! I have always loved staying up to watch the ball drop; it signals an opportunity to start anew! For New Year’s Eve I went to dinner with some friends and enjoyed ending and starting a new year with friends and family. I hope all of you are enjoying 2014; I have a feeling this is going to be a great year, I even like how 2014 looks!  Lastly, as I was writing this post I noticed I reached my 300th follower on GFC; I would like to give a special thanks to the Preppy Mom for being my 300th follower! I would also like to think all of you for the kind words, support, and of course for reading my blog! Your comments and emails mean so much to me. I hope everyone has a wonderful and relaxing weekend ahead! Here’s to a New Year and fresh beginnings! Cheers!

Drink Special! 
Merry Widow
1 ounce gin
1 ounce sweet vermouth
½ ounce pastis
Dash of bitters
Ice cubes
Lemon twist for garnish
Shake liquid ingredients vigorously with ice and strain into a chilled cocktail glass; garnish with lemon twist.
