Welcome Fall

It’s that time of year again; the time when leaves start to change color, the air gets a little crisp with a chill about, and it is social acceptable to wear leggings, flannel plaid shirt, scarves, ridding boots, puffer vests, etc. to your heart’s content. I am always sad to see summer go and pack away my summer Lilly dresses but there are so many things to look forward in the fall season, plus the fall ushers in my favorite holiday… Christmas!

I always welcome fall with an open mind and a readiness for change. As strange as it may seem, to me fall and spring both signal a fresh start; the fall is a season of change, of letting things go, and being open to new possibilities and the spring represents a season of renewed hope, new chances and opportunities to come. So just take hold and welcome as many new changes and possibilities that may come your way! In the words of F. Scott Fitzgerald, “Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall”.

Since it is the official the first day of fall, Hello There Fall, I thought I would share with you a few items {see above image} that are quintessentially fall!

1. SaintJames For J. Crew Nauplie Sweater// A cozy sweater is always a must for a chilly fall day. Plus they are perfect to wear to a football game or to an early fall cookout.

2. FlannelBoyshirt in Barlow Plaid// Plaid shirts are the perfect layering piece – they can be worn under sweaters, blazers, vests, or just on their own.

3. OverThe Knee Boot// Ridding boots are my favorite thing about fall. They are a great investment, can be worn with pants, skirts, or a dress, and they are much more comfortable than high heels.

4. NoveltyQuilted Puffer Vest// Puffer Vests have seem to become one of the iconic fall wardrobe staples. It honestly took me a little while to get into the whole puffer vest craze but now I love them! They are perfect to wear on a chilly night plus a puffer can be worn as part of basically any casual outfit.

5. ClassicBeadnell Waxed Jacket// Is there anything more fall than the traditional Barbour coat? It is a classic piece that you will have forever

6. CashmerePlaid Scarf// Scarves are one of my favorite accessories. I love how they can totally transform an outfit and take it to the next level

7. EssieAfter School Boy Blazer Nail Polish// Who doesn’t love the After School Boy Blazer nail polish? It is the most perfect shade of navy nail polish and goes perfectly with every single outfit one might want to wear.

8. Ghost Pumpkins// There is nothing I love more in the fall than some ghost pumpkins paired with a few beautiful mums. Plus the look great painted or with some glitter detail.

9. PecanPumpkin Butter// If you haven’t tried the Pumpkin Butter squares recipe you are missing out, they are out of this world. If you haven’t you definitely need to go to William-Sonoma and pick up some Pecan Pumpkin Butter; Pumpkin Butter Square recipe should be on the jar.

10. Starbucks Pumpkin Spice Latte// I think this one speaks for itself.
