Savannah's Candy Kitchen

I have had these photos on my phone of Savannah’s Candy Kitchen for the longest time, but haven’t posted about this old-fashioned candy because I couldn’t remember the name of it but it came to me out of the blue today – you gotta love it when that happens! Contrary to how the show Nashville portrays everyday living here walking around and shooting the breeze just because isn’t actually a thing unless you work downtown or are there for a purpose otherwise you visit downtown for sporting events, concerts, or a fun night here and there, etc. so I haven’t had a good opportunity to walk back over to the candy shop to see what the name of it is, but I am so glad I finally remembered it!

Back at the end of December I was wasting time in downtown Nashville before the Music City Bowl concert/pre-party kickoff and stumble into the cutest candy shop I have seen around Nashville. It was freezing outside that night and the atmosphere in this shop was perfect for a cold December night. Plus it reminded me of the Ole Smoky Candy Kitchen in Gatlinburg, TN. I used to visit some as a child; a sense of nostalgia always seems to be so perfect around the holiday season.

If you are from Nashville or ever visit Savannah’s Candy Kitchen is the place to go for a sweet fix! Savannah’s Candy Kitchen offers salt water taffy {my favorite}, pralines, hand-made candy, hand-dipped candy, caramel apples, ice cream, gelato, and basically any other sweet thing that you can imagine. I loved how when I walked into the Candy Kitchen it felt like I stepped back in time a few decades because of their old-fashioned décor; they even have a toy train attacked to their ceiling that runs around. Oh and did I mention that Savannah’s Candy Kitchen literally has barrels full of candy and of course some candy boxes wrapped with a bow, of course.

  1. Wow...that's a lot of sweets! Although I don't eat candy, I love seeing pictures of it for some reason. I guess it brings me back to my childhood when I used to eat tons of candy ;)

    Thanks for sharing.
