Little Black Skirt

To me, black skirts are like little black dresses – you can never have too many and they are appropriate for pretty much every single occasion under the sun or moon, depending on the occasion. I am most definitely a dress person, but lately have fallen into the skirt thing too. It’s always fun to mix and match different tops, shoes, handbags, etc. to a skirt to give it a totally different feel and look.
GearBest was kind enough to send me one of their High Waist Pure Color Bowknot Skirts in black. I jumped at the chance to collaborate with them – they offer so many attractive things on their website and I am always a sucker for almost anything that has a bow.
I am a bit high waisted and have long legs so sometimes finding a skirt that does not look too short on me can be a bit of a challenge. Lately I have been trying to go with midi skirts or skirts that hanging closer around my knee. I was absolutely thrilled with the fit of the Bowknot Skirt from GearBust. It is extremely flattering, has full look to it without being too full of a skirt, and is undoubtedly perfect to wear to any upcoming holiday party. Plus, the skirt has a great twirl factor!
To make the shopping experience a little bit easier on GearBust they provide a size chart and the skirt definitely runs true to size based off of the chart that is provided. Oh, and did I mention they have a video shopping feature…
One thing I love about about a black skirt is that you can pair it with absolutely anything; from a simple black top for a clean chic look all the way to a Fair Isle sweater. Black skirts are a blank canvas. For a fun, sophisticated look I paired the High Waist PureColor Bowknot Skirt with a J. Crew leopard print sweater, a pair of Ivanka Trump Bow Pumps {similar here}, Ralph Lauren Pearl earrings, and assorted bracelets.
