Tory Burch Fall Shoes

Last week when I was looking around the Nordstrom shoe department my thought on so many of the shoe styles was “Cher from Clueless could have worn these shoes’. As any true 90s girl I love the movie Clueless, but I’m not sure I want to wear shoes that remind of a movie from 20 years ago…

While most fashion designers this year are giving a nod to the nineties for this upcoming fall season I am glad to see that Tory Burch is drawing her inspiration not only for the nineties but from the sixties as well. I love the fact that I have a nineties childhood, but I do not care to revisit the clunky shoes of the nineties. I will say there are a few nineties inspired shoes I like, but for the most part clunky is just not my style/does not look good on me – In the words of Cher Horowitz “As if”.

I always love that Tory Burch finds a way to make her shoes distinctively feminine, on point, and there is always a distinct time period she draws inspiration from.

  3. Great Tory Fall shoes post. When I first saw the 60's inspired Gigi's I knew I had to try them. A few weeks ago I tried the red ones on. ( https://davisbe.files.wordpress.com/2016/09/dsc08220.jpg )
Of course I loved them but they didn't fit real well. I knew they'd need some time to break in. Instead I ended up getting my second pair of the fairly new styled TB Jolie flats.

    2. This 60's inspired line is quite exciting and a nice new twist from our gal Tory. She has also made a few other changes to some of her other popular styles of flats. For the past 10 years both women and men (I don't want to exclude myself :) have craved a pair of her iconic Reva flats. Some people LOVED them cuz they were so cute and others HATED them mostly because of the elastic around the heel. So Tory redesigned them without the elastic around the heel but once again, some people loved them and others hated them. Now the Revas are being phased out but she has kept the classic Reva look by creating her TB Minnie Travel flats that looks like the iconic Reva but with amazing comfort of the Minnie's. Here's my latest pair; https://davisbe.files.wordpress.com/2016/11/dsc08390.jpg
