Nothing
feels better at the end of the day than to rise away the day off your skin.
Even though I may not have a job that requires manual labor, I always feel a
little gritty at the end of the day, my makeup is usually smuggled, and my hair
is not as fresh as it was in the morning. All I want to do at the end of the
night is take a long hot shower, pamper myself a little, and curl up in bed
with a good book and my cat.
Call me
crazy but I find having a nighttime beauty routine oddly relaxing. At least for
me it helps me upwind and get in the mindset of going to sleep. I know we all
probably have some of favorite products we use before going to bed and I
thought I would share mine in the order I use them in my nighttime beauty routine.
Cetaphil Daily Facial Cleanser// I have been told and read on many accounts that you
should always wash your face at night. The reminisce left over from the day on
your face is obviously not good for the complexion and can theoretically cause
you to age a bit. It is obviously important to have a good face wash and
Cetephil is amazing!
LancomeBi-Facil Double-Action Eye Makeup Remover//
I know this may not be the usual order of things, but I always use a
makeup remover after I was my face, I feel like the makeup comes off easier when
done in this order. Once you use Lancome Eye Makeup Remover it Is hard to go
back to any other makeup remover. If you dampen a cotton round with some
Lancome makeup remover and hold it against your eyelid for a few moments the
practically makeup melts off.
Clinique
Turnaround Overnight Revitalizing Moisturizer// When I turned 25 I had a bit of
a quarter life crisis that caused me to start using nighttime facial cream. I
love how this cream goes on light and is not oily at all.
Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Skin// During the winter months I take very hot showers
that probably last too long…I am one of those annoying people who always seems
to be cold, but a hot shower is always a cure for that. Needless during the
winter months I may need a bit more moisture in facial product and the Moisture
Surge does the trick – my skin always feels hydrated after I use it.
Clinique All About Eyes// I can’t attest to wheatear or not the two other above creams work
to slow down the ageing process, but I can say that this eye cream definitely
helps with dark circles and puffiness under the eyes.
Johnson’s Baby Lotion// Last but not least an after bath time lotion. I really love
Johnson’s baby lotion for the simple fact that the lotion seems to soak into
the skin fairly fast and does a wonderful job of hydrating the skin.
