Ingredients For A Good Night's Sleep

Call me particular, but if my sheets don’t feel right, I’m not comfortable in the pajamas I have on, and if I haven’t read for a little while before I attempt to go to sleep it is more than likely going to be a long night. Please tell me someone else out there is as particular with their sheets and pajamas as I am… I love the feeling of climbing into a bed that feel fresh and fluffy, having on the perfect pair of pajamas, and settling down with a good book while drinking some water.

Reading a little before I go to bed, even if it is just five minutes, helps me to unwind. I prefer somewhat of a light read right before I go to bed. Right now I am reading The Cuckoo’s Calling, by Robert Galbraith {aka J.K. Rowling}. I’m not too far into the book yet but so far it has been enjoyable and a good bedtime read.
Pajamas are the most important ingredients for a good night's sleep in my honest opinion. If you have on scratchy pajamas, pajamas that are too big, lose pajamas when you feel like having on fitted pajamas, pajamas that are too small, etc. you’re more than likely not going to sleep well in a pair of pajamas you aren’t comfortable in. Here are a few pajamas that I have been loving as of late.
Make fun of me all you want, but the Pottery Barn Teen and the Pottery Barn Kids has some of the best bed sheets. I promise you, you just cannot beat the flannel sheet from PB Teen and PB Kids, plus they have really cute print. Another one of my all time favorite bed sheets are the Ralph Lauren sheets. The heavy cotton Ralph Lauren uses to make his sheets is just a dream, and a monogram just happens to be to perfect to basically any of his sheet sets.

  4. I'm not that particular about going to bed, but sometimes I love prepping my sleep with a triple threat bedtime: a bath or shower so I'm relaxed and clean, freshly laundered sheets and a perfectly made bed to crawl into, and freshly laundered pajamas for my nice and clean body to slip into. There's nothing better, especially if you've had a rough day, need something to help you relax, or just want to spoil yourself a little in one of the most simple of ways!

I love them... and I've seen those PB Teen sheets before, too! I also love them. There are some hot pink polka dot ones that are pretty as well...but the gold...ohhh the gold... love 'em!

  9. I'm not too particular with my sheets but I definitely need to be warm in the winter time so that means flannel everything (I probably look like a mummy all bundled up!).
