This time of year for me is one
of the hardest to dress for, it’s not quit summer and not quit fall. A good
transitional wardrobe is key for this time of year; in the South especially,
one day it can be 90°F and the next 70°F…you just never know what to expect
down here. I think for the fall/summer transitional period it is appropriate to
wear a lightweight sweater or a darker color shirt with shorts, jeans, or a skirt. For me
the hardest part about this time of year is not wearing the super bright colors all the
time that are associated with summer, I just love them so! To help you transitions from summer to
fall here are some very stylish turning point tops! Click on the name of the
top located below the image for the link.

I love button ups for the fall because they're light enough to not make you really hot but warm enough when you want something to cover your arms. I want to scoop up a silk top for fall. Love the first top you posted.

I think the first one is my favorite button up I have seen so far this season!
DeleteI love the C Wonder polka dot sweater, too cute. If all else fails you can do what we do in Florida. Turn the AC on full blast and wear your sweaters in doors lol!

Haha, believe it or not we have to do that sometimes in Nashville during the fall and winter. We have the weirdest weather here, I promise you, one time last year it was almost 80 one day and two day later it snowed... you just never know. But yes, I really like the C. Wonder sweater too!
DeleteNot wearing super bright colors (and white!) is seriously my biggest problem in the fall, especially when I'm still in Texas and it honestly does feel like summer outside.
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite tricks is buying sweaters in light, breathable fabrics, like cashmere or merino-silk blends, so I can look seasonal without actually dying of heatstroke. Hah it's the best of both worlds, Hannah Montana-style!
That C. Wonder sweater is beyond cute though... It's officially on my fall wish list now!

Love the Hannah Montana throwback! I agree I wear a lot of cashmere in the fall and winter, it is the best! I have to admit I always break the white and super bright color rule...it's just more fun to be bright!
