Recently
I have received a decent amount of emails pertaining to rain boots and various
questions. So for today’s blog post I thought I would address some the
questions I have received over the past few weeks!
What Are My Favorite Rain Boots?
Hunter
Boots and Joules Rain Boots. I have two pair of Hunter Boots and two pair of
Joules Rain Boots. During the fall and winter months I prefer to slip on a pair
of rain boots versus some running shoes – they are just easier to take on and off
and they tend to go a little with the type of outfits I usually wear. These and
These are my absolute favorite!
Are Hunter Rain Boots
Comfortable?
Yes,
hunter rain boots are very comfortable and I love the fact that they can be
worn with a casual dress or skirt out to dinner or just with some leggings and
a sweatshirt and everything in between.
Sizing?
In my
experience rain boots tend to run on the larger side. I usually wearing a 7 in
riding boots and over the knee boots and have always had to go down a full size
whenever I purchase rain boots, so all my rain boots are a size 6.
What Is A Good Alternative To
Hunter Boots?
Joules.
Also a British brand and in my opinion the quality of their rain boots are
equal to that of Hunter boots. Plus, they have the classic solid rain boots,
but the also have rain boots with either a cute print or a bow on the back of
them.
Do Rain Boots Make Your Feet
Sweaty?
Keep in
mind that my body temperature tends to run cold, but personally I have never
had an issue with my feet being sweaty due to rain boots. I usually wear a pair
of socks from Free People {like these} with my boots and then on really cold
days when I wear Hunter Boots I’ll also wear the Hunter Boot Socks.
How Often Do You Wear Your Rain
Boots?
I wear
them practically all the time in the fall and winter months, and then of course
on rainy spring and summer days.
Are Hunter Boots Worth The
Price?
I will
admit that at the end of the day both Hunter and Joules Rain Boots are a bit
pricey, but definitely worth the price. I have had one pair of my Hunter boots
for 6 years and the other for 2 years then I’ve had a pair of Joules rain boots
for 3 years and the second pair I just purchased this past fall, and they all
look brand new and you will definitely get your moneys worth out of them. To
avoid having my rain boots look old or worn out I’ll usually go over them with
a Hunter Boot Shiner Sponge once a month; it works like magic and keeps your
boots from getting that foggy look to them that the rubber material is prone
to.
I love my Hunter rainbows and have already worn two pairs to death :)
