The Joys of Sleep & A Good Book

For the past couple of weeks I have not been sleeping all that well. I go to bed, I kind of fell relax, but my mind won’t turned off – the next thing you know I am up, making to-do lists, answering emails, etc. because if you can’t fall asleep why not be productive…

I am usually not excite about a week filled with a 70% - 100% chance of rain everyday, but this week I am psyched that it is supposed to rain every single night. The sound of rain at night accompanied with the sounds of the heater/air conditioner runner will put me to sleep in no time flat. There is something soothing about the way sounds at night falling onto the room and pinging the windows – it is like nature’s lullaby.

I fully intend to curl up every night this week with a book, maybe some hot chocolate but probably a bottle of water, and let the sound of the rain whisk me away to dream land; in a comfortable pair of pajamas, of course.
