Happy Halloween

Happy Halloween! I can’t believe it is the end of October and that Halloween is here! I have to confess, for the past few years I have been such a procrastinator when it comes to picking out a costume. I kid you not, in college an hour or less before I would go to a Halloween party I would stand in front of my closet, look at what was in there and think “what can I use to create a costume”. Not to toot my horn, but I actually came up with some pretty great costumes considering I only gave myself an hour or so to pull one together. One of the easiest and simplest last minute costume ideas that is my favorite is just a dress {I love dresses} and a mask. I love how a dress {preferable a sequin or black one since it’s Halloween} and mask look paired together, it creates a very eye-catching outfit for Halloween, plus you can add some fun accessories! Below are some masks I have come across, just incase you are in a pinch and need some last minute inspiration! I hope everyone has a wonderful Halloween! Halloween Pumpkin Inspiration

So I had every intention of coming up with a cute way to design a pumpkin, with glitter included, because as we all know glitter just makes everything better! Unfortunately I let time get away from me {I honestly don’t know where October went…is tomorrow really Halloween!} and have not had time to decorate a pumpkin. I am sure I will decorate one at the twelfth hour just in time for Halloween night; what is Halloween without a festive pumpkin? Since I haven’t had a chance to come up with my own pumpkin design I thought I would share a few Halloween pumpkin inspirations! Click on the name of the pumpkin design, located below the image for the website to learn how-to do that particular design.

Beauty In Black & White

I have always found beauty in black and white pictures. For some reason when I look at a black and white photo I notice the shadows, the light and darks, the minor details better then I do in color photos. I have to admit I am slightly partial to black and white photographs; I just love the essence of a black and white. There is something so elegant and timeless about them. Here are a few black and white photos I took over the weekend.

Sweater Sale

Despite the fact that fall is not even halfway over and that the winter season is still ahead of us a few stores already have some beautiful cozy sweaters on sale! There is nothing I love more on a cold night then sitting if front of a fireplace, enjoying a good moving, in a warm sweater! Here are a few of my favorite sweater sale finds. Pumpkinfest

Considering that it was Halloween weekend, I had to do something festive during the daytime, so Saturday I went to Pumpkinfest in Franklin, TN; I know it my sound a little corny but it was a fun time! The smell of carmel apples and pumpkin baked goods was in the air, and the streets were packed! I loved seeing the costumes people came up, the shops set up on the street, and of course all of the fall goodies and treats, plus there were some pretty great bands playing!

Sunday Night Thought

Halloween Party Inspiration

I feel safe in saying that most probably partook in a Halloween party or fun activity this weekend, which is always fun! In my opinion it is always fun to celebrate Halloween on the actual night of Halloween as well, even if it is just a dinner party or a small costume party with an intimate group of friends. Nothing says Halloween like some classic decorations, a good costume, and of course of few treats! Below are a few Halloween party inspirations, cocktails, and festive ideas.
