I know there are some mixed opinions out there about this particular topic, but I am completely loving all the snow we have gotten so far this year. I feel like it has not this much since the 90s’; for Nashville weather, we are lucky if we see snow twice in a year. Ever since I was little, I have always loved how snow has the ability to dress the world in white, bring a quiet peace to the world, and create a cozy day.
Nothing rounds out a snow day better than a warm fire, the sound of a movie playing in the background, and the smell of a delicious comfort food wafting through the house.
One// Slow Cooker Turkey Chili {The Pioneer Woman}
I made this recipe for the first time a couple weeks ago and it not only taste amazing, but it is so easy to make! Unpopular opinion: normally I am not a chili person, at all… I feel like most chili recipes call for a ridiculous amount of beef and beans, and I hate the uncomfortable feeling of being full, but this recipe is so well balanced out! I love that this recipe uses turkey instead of meat and it actually has a decent amount of vegetables in it.
Two// One Pot Chicken Parmesan Pasta Skillet {The Cookie Rookie}
This is one of my favorite pasta dishes to make, and all you need to make it is one pot and five ingredients! Delicious, and makes enough to have leftovers!
Three// Classic Minestrone Soup {Joanna Gaines}
I have been seeing Joanna Gaines’ Minestrone Soup recipe all over the internet, and finally made it a few weeks ago, and let me just say, it did not disappoint. Super easy to make, and this is honestly the best minestrone soup recipe I have come across thus far
In my opinion Chicken Pot Pie is the ultimate comfort food. I had been playing around with different chicken pot pie recipes for a while and finally decided to take my favorite elements from a few different recipes I had tried to create my own. I obviously have a biased opinion, but as far as homemade chicken pot pies go, this recipe is very tasty!
Five// Stuffed Peppers {The Pioneer Woman}
Fact: you can never go wrong with a Pioneer Woman recipe. Stuffed Peppers are another recipe that I’m normally not a fan of, because of the overwhelming amount of meat, but this recipe only calls for less than a pound of meat and the rest of the mix is vegetables, rice, and cheese, and it is amazing! Highly recommend!
