Since
today is December first {aka the best month of the year} I had to kick the
month off with a somewhat Christmasey post. I one hundred and ten percent get
swept up in the Holiday spirit – the lights, music, decorations, Starbucks
cups, gift shopping, and even holiday themed reading. There is noting more I
love than wondering around a bookstore on a chilly afternoon with a hot
chocolate in hand, but I almost hate to say it, Target always seems to have the
best selection of fun and uplifting Christmas reads; I know there are probably
a few people shaking their heads right now…but it’s true!
My latest
Christmas read what Let It Snow, and yes, incase you are wondering I picked
this book up at Target along with my last read, Christmas in Paris. John Green,
Maureen Johnson, and Lauren Myracle joined forces to write this sweet winter
romance and their individual writing styles made for an entertaining, romantic
page-turner of a book.
Each
author of Let It Snow writes and an interconnected story – three stories total.
Every story is very sweet and romantic, and the last story of the book, ties
storyline together as beautifully as a hand-made bow atop a Christmas present.
A badly
timed Christmas Eve snowstorm buries the residents of Gracetown under a huge
amount of snow causing a few events to take an unexpected turn. When Jubilee
{Julie} steps off her stranded train that was bound for Florida she sets off a
chain of events that effect quite a few lives, in a positive way. Three brilliant
authors bring to life the magic of Christmas in this uplifting, romantic, funny
holiday book. Let It Snow is definitely a holiday must-read.
Great review, it sounds nice :)
