The Age Of Adaline

This past Sunday I watched The Age of Adaline for the first time, and I am completely smitten with this movie. Lately it seems like all the really good or decent movies are either based off a book or based on true-life events; I was honestly a little surprised that as far as I can tell The Age of Adaline is an original script and surprisingly not based off of a book. Hats off to whom ever wrote this script because it is basically a perfect movie. I’m sure there are many Blake Lively fans out there from her days on Gossip Girl, but if you aren’t a fan of hers or are unfamiliar with her, I feel very confident in saying that you will love her after you watch The Age of Adaline.
In The Age of Adaline, Adaline Bowman, a woman in her late 20s born at the turn of the 20th century is rendered ageless after an accident. Before her accident she lives a seemingly normal life, has one daughter, and is a recent widow. When she enters into what should have been her 40s people start to become suspicious of her seemingly ageless looks, which eventually sends Adaline into a life of changing residence every ten years along with her identity and looks in order to keep her secret.
Adaline manages to live many years in solitary while until she meets a man, Ellis, on New Year’s Eve who complicates the eternal life she has settle into. With encouragement from her daughter {who poses as Adaline’s grandmother} Adaline decides to pursue a potentially romantic relationship. Ellis ignites her passion for life and romance, and eventually the relationship threatens to uncover Adaline’s secret. Adaline is faced with a decision that will forever change her life.
The Age of Adaline is a movie that I highly recommend and has entered into the list of my top three favorite movies.

As I have mentioned before, I am kind of obsessed with Vogue’s 73 Questions series, so as an added bonus I thought I would include Blake Lively’s 73 Question interview.
