My Favorite Fall TV Shows

I think I can safely say that we all have those favorite shows we make a point to watch and some of us may even have a few ‘guilty pleasure’ shows that we are too embarrassed to admit we watch but so enjoy them. I will go ahead and admit my guilty pleasure shows are Kim of Queens and Girl Meets World – but hey, Boy Meets Would was huge when I was growing up, how I could I not watch Cory and Topanga grown up with a family every now and then.

My favorite way to relax is with a good book, but there are those days where it is just nice to come home, sit in comfy chair, have a drink, watch a few of my favorite shows, and just do nothing. I have gotten spoiled with On Demand, Hulu, and such where I can watch any of my favorite shows whenever I want to. One semester college I had to take a night class on the same night Grey’s Anatomy was on, I would literally run back to my dorm just in time to catch it, if the class let out on time – how I was my college campus had On Demand then.

Here are a few of my favorite fall TV shows

The Mindy Project: Who doesn’t love Mindy Kaling, she’s awesome – published book, writes her own show, and she has a good sense of style. The series is about Mindy Lahiri, a doctor, who tries to balance her personal and professional life while working in small practice with some interesting co-workers.

Grey’s Anatomy: I hate to say that it took me a little while to get on the Grey’s Anatomy fan wagon. Around my junior year of college I started catching up on the series when there were re-runs on Lifetime and now it is the show “have” to see.

The Goldbergs: The Mom from the Goldbergs must somehow be related to my mom. My mom actually gave my sister and me a few of the same lectures that Beverly Goldberg gives on the show. The Goldbergs is about a family during the 1980s and is based on the show runner’s own childhood.

Once Upon A Time: If you were ever a Disney fan or a fan of fairytales growing up you will love Once Upon A Time. The show takes every Disney prince/princess and fairytale person you can imagine and combines them all beautifully into one storyline. All I have to say about this show is they must have some very creative and talented writers. P.S. Ana and Elsa from Frozen is the main storyline right now on the show, if you love the movie Frozen you definitely need to watch the show this season.

Nashville: I first started watching Nashville mainly because I live in Nashville and it was so much fun to see places and houses I see everyday on television. The show is about a few different country music singers at the different stages in their career and personal lives and of course the Nashville scene.

  3. I'm loving Madam Secretary and Scorpion very much. I've recorded all the Blacklist and Scandal, but haven't watched any of it yet. We watch NFL football so much that leaves little time for us girls to watch fun things, you know?
