Movies To Get You In The Halloween Spirit

{Via}
I am pretty excited that Halloween is just around the corner! Over the years fall has become one of my most favorite seasons. The crisp smell in the air, the crunch of leaves under your feet, and pumpkin flavored everything is just an arms reach away. {Via}

Halloween for me is the event that seems to usher in the holiday season {confession I listen to Christmas music year around…} so needless to say I like the get caught up in the excitement and the spirit that is Halloween, And one of the best ways to do that is have a PSL, carve a pumpkin, and watch an movie that is fitting for Halloween.

Go ahead and call me a whimp, but I have never been a fan of the overly scary, overly gory movie. Basic anything that could actually be a real life situation {in my mind’s eye} and has the potential to scare the pants off of anyone is pretty much automatically marked off of my list as a movie I would want to see. Honestly, how could anyone sit through The Texas Chain Saw Massacre…just typing the title of it is enough to creep me out. I prefer fun Halloween movies and scary ones that use music and not so realistic makeup jobs to keep you on the edge of your seats. Since Halloween is a mere six days away I have come up with a few movie suggestions to get you in the mood for the upcoming event.
Hocus Pocus// We are talking about Halloween movies, so of course Hocus has to be at the top of the list! Let’s just all admit that more than likely this is probably our favorite Halloween movie.
Arachnophobia// Not exactly a Halloween specific movie, but in my world spiders are always a little bit scary, especially killer ones…
The Conjuring// Now, this is a legitimate scary movie I can actually sit through, not very believable makeup jobs and they use music for the scare factor. However, I will say that the Conjuring 2 look way too intense for me, but the first one has an entertaining story line and a good ending
The Ghost and Mrs. Muir// I love old movies and black and white films and The Ghost and Mrs. Muir is just a fun Halloween classic, in my opinion
