Nantucket Brand Clothing Co.

The weather in Nashville is always very unpredictable this time of year; one day it could be 75 the next 40. During this transitional time of the year it is wise to have a classic trench coat and a cable knit sweater on hand. I have been following Nantucket Brand Clothing Co. on Instagram and Facebook for a good while now; let me just say, if you are a fan of cable knits, nautical themed clothing, and all things classic you will love this company!

NantucketBrand Clothing Co. was founded in 2005 and I am impressed with what this company has accomplished and the quality of products they have managed to produce in just 10 short years of being in business. Each item produced by this company is inspired by generations on Nantucket and is meant to fit the “Nantucket lifestyle”.
I received this oh so classic crewneck cable knit sweater a few weeks ago from Nantucket Brand Clothing Co. and am just now getting a chance to share it with you due to icepocalypse, snowpocalypse, and then the rain and windy weather… I’m so relieved that sunny days are starting to make a regular appearance again. Confession: I may or may not have worn this sweater way too many times since I received it a few weeks ago.
One thing I love about cable knits {especially navy ones} is how versatile they are. So far I have styled this sweater with jeans and leggings and fully intend to wear it with a white skirt on those cool spring and summer nights.
For this post I choose to style the classic Nantucket Brand Clothing Co. navy cable knitsweater my favorite way, of course. Since we are sill in the early days of spring I styled the cable knit with an oxford shirt underneath, black pixiepants, Tory Burch flats, and to finish off the look a trench coat {similar} and a pair of sunglasses. I love the fit of the sweater, the material feels great, hasn’t stretched out, and seems to hold its shape very well. As a side note I usually wear an XS in sweaters but decided to order a small in this sweater; I prefer cable knits to be a little roomy.

Easter Sweets

What would any holiday be without some festive treats to go along with said holiday? Not the happy sugar fest it should be, that Is what a holiday sans deserts would be.

I always love the egg shaped, bunny shaped, lamb shaped, duck shaped, etc. that go along with the Easter holiday. Guilty confession of the day: I have some Easter shaped chocolate chilling in the fridge as I write this post – it is the week of Eater after all…

With Easter Sunday just a few very short days away I thought I would share with you a few Easter treats and deserts I have stumbled onto via Pinterest.

Sunday Night Thought

Easter Tablescape Inspiration

{Via}
Easter is exactly one week from today – seriously, where does the time go? I had a feeling 2015 was going to be one of those years that flies by…

I basically love pretty much any holiday. If there is a holiday or event worth celebrating, count me in! One thing that is always a must for any holiday is a beautiful tablescape. Pssst…if you don’t have time to do an over the top tablescape a fresh bouquet of flowers can work wonders. Christmas and Easter are hands down my favorite holidays to create a tablescape for – they both involve such beautiful, classic colors.

To help you on your way to create the perfect Easter tablescape next Sunday {believe it or not} below is some Easter tablescape inspiration!

Lilly For Target Look Book

I have to admit I have mixed emotions about Lilly Pulitzer being at Target. It is such a great brand that has for the most part stood on its own for decades. On one side I think that it is awesome that Lilly is going to be at Target, because target is pretty amazing on its own and it will be nice to have a less expensive version of the Lilly Pulitzer clothing, accessories, and home goods. On the other side I feel like it takes a little something away from the Lilly Pulitzer brand – question of the hour: If Lilly were still alive would she allow her company to team up with Target to create a Lilly for Target line?

On the whole I am actually pretty excited about the Lilly Pulitzer and Target partnership. Lilly patterns are always so cute and classic so I am inclined to think this will be a great line. I for one will definitely be buying some Lilly for Target beach towels and maybe a few other things…

Whatever your stance is on Lilly being in Target I think it is fair to say that we are all a little curious to see what these two amazing companies have come up with. Why wait till April 19 when there is a look book already available for viewing! Have to say the collection is pretty cute!
