It’s that
time of year when the world falls in love, every song you hear seems to say
“Merry Christmas” it’s time to watch your favorite Christmas movie! During the
month of November and December it is the only acceptable time of the year when
I can openly watch Christmas movies and listen to Christmas music. Side note: I
am trying to talk my family into see It’s A Wonderful Life at the Franklin
Theater on Christmas Eve – who could pass up a chance to go see It’s A
Wonderful Life on the big screen? That being said I try to watch as many movies
as a can, but there are those few favorite movies that I absolutely have to
watch, no exception, to make it feel like Christmas. Here is my list of My 7
Must-See Christmas Movies.
A Christmas
Carol//In my humble opinion it is just not the real Christmas Carol unless it
is the George C. Scott one, the casting in this version is literally perfect. It
is a movie that shows you the true meaning of Christmas spirit and the
importance of being charitable, kind, and a child at heart.
Elf//If I
had to choose to watch only one Christmas movie it would be a toss up between
Elf and It’s A Wonderful Life. A human raised by elves who goes to the big city
to find his biological father and the Elf just happens to be played by Will
Ferrell.
Irving
Berlin’s White Christmas//A couple years ago I saw the Broadway production of
White Christmas and feel even more in love with it than before, I didn’t even
know that was possible. I love all the music and dancing and the excitement you
feel for Christmas after watching this timeless classic.
Chevy
Chase Lampoon Christmas Vacation//I was six the first time I saw Christmas
Vacation and granted at the age of six a lot of the humor was over my head, but
other than Home Alone I thought it was the funniest movie, plus Clark Griswold
remind me of my dad just a little bit…
Home
Alone//I remember I was six when this movie came out and both of my parents
were dreading taking my sister and I to go see it, but everyone loved the
movie. It was an instant Christmas classic.
The Polar
Express//I love the feeling of hope and joy for the holiday season The Polar
Express leaves with. If you are feeling a little bah humbug The Polar Express
is just the remedy for such a thing.
It’s A
Wonderful Life//I had to save the best for last. If I could only watch one
movie during the Holiday season it would be It’s A Wonderful Life. The movie
shows you just how important the life of one individual is {even at times it
may not seem like it} and how many lives just one person can have an influence
on.

DeleteOh I love Christmas Movies! I really enjoy Eloise at Christmastime and Miracle on 34th Street. I also like catching whatever Christmas special in on TV when I sit down to watch. Some are super great and some are super corny, but I wouldn't have it any other way.
