It is
almost astounding to me that the season for Holiday parties is just a few short
weeks away. It never fails, whenever I am pressed for time or have a party or
get together to go I will stand in front of my closet for a good thirty minutes
and will be stricken by that sudden horrid feeling of “I have nothing to wear”.
I feel safe in saying that almost
everyone has suffered from the “I have nothing to wear” syndrome.
The only
time I feel like I have something to wear to a function or get together is when
I stumble upon a dress when I’m not looking for it and reserve it for when the
right occasion comes along to wear it. Once I realize that I can finally break
out a certain dress for a function I get embarrassingly excited. Ironically
whenever I am shopping for a specific event I can never find anything, it is
almost like a conspiracy.
To avoid
the “I have nothing to wear” feeling I try to plan out my outfit in advance.
Another way I avoid that dreading feeling is when I out shopping and come upon
a dress I could easily wear on a few occasions I usually buy it. The other
night when I was Internet shopping {the best kind of shopping} I came upon this
beautiful Alex Bow Dress by Jill Stuart from Anthropologie. How perfect would
this dress look paired with a black clutch, black tights, and black heels or if
you want to add a pop some metallic heels. I absoutly love the bow and have
fallen head over heels for the Alexa Bow Dress.
That is such a pretty dress! It would definitely be perfect for a winter party. I totally agree with you on only feeling prepared it I already have the perfect outfit- I get so excited to wear pieces too!

DeleteYes I agree with you. When you see something which you know you'll enjoy wearing - better get it now, rather than regret and think about it later. :))
ReplyDeleteThere is always some more room in a girl's wardrobe!
