THE COCA-COLA SANTA
In case you haven’t guessed I have many favorite things about the Christmas season, but one of my absolute favorite things about the holiday season is when I go to the grocery store and see the Coco-Cola Santa on a coke bottle for the very first time at the start of the season each year. An interesting fact for all of those who believe in Santa Clause and the spirit of the season: according to a book I once read, The Autobiography of Santa Claus by Jeff Guinn, it is believed that the Coca-Cola company is the only company thus far that Santa Clause has agreed to model for and collaborate with. Sundblom is that artist who crated the timeless Santa Clause advertisements for Coca-Cola. Over the many years Sundblom’s Coca-Cola Santa has become so well-know and loved, that some of the Coca-Cola Santa paintings have been on exhibit in such locations as the Louvre, the Museum of Science and Industry, The Royal Ontario Museum, NK Department Store, and at the World of Coca-Cola. Below are some of my favorite Coca-Cola holiday advertisements.
