A couple of days ago Caroline from VA is for Lilly lovers tagged me in the post, “Confessions of a Blogger”.
I normally don’t do tag posts, but this sounded like a fun one to participate
in. The idea behind “Confessions of a Blogger” is to give readers a little more
insight to the story/process.
When did you first
start blogging?
December 24, 2012,
Christmas Eve, my favorite night of the year!
Had you had any past
online presence (YouTube, other blog)?
No, honestly the only
social network I was apart of before I started blogging, now I wonder how I
ever lived through life without Pinterest!
Why did you start a
blog?
I started I started
blogging as a way to share my ideas and thoughts with others. I have always
loved reading, writing, and connection with other people, and a blog seemed
like the perfect creative outlet for me.
What was your first
post?
What has been your
biggest challenge about blogging?
Overall I have really
enjoyed blogging, coming across other blogs, and discovering new things. I
guess my biggest challenge has been updating my blog’s Facebook and getting
followers for my Facebook page.
Where do you see your
blog in one year?
I honestly haven’t
thought that far ahead. Blogging is something I really enjoying doing and I
just hope that my blog continues to grow and that the content and overall look
of my blog continually improves.
What is the most
discouraging thing that happens to you?
I honestly haven’t
had an experience with blogging that I have perceived as negative so far. I
think one of the most important things to remember when you first start out
blogging is that a blog is not going to be an overnight success, like anything
else it takes time and effort. As selfish as it may sound I think when you
first start out blogging it has to be something you find joy in, because in all
honesty it takes time to grow, to get followers, pageviews, etc. Ultimately it’s
rewarding; you make great connections, opportunities, and get to connect with
other bloggers. In the end it is definitely worth the time and effort.
What’s your lasting
inspiration or motivation?
I think my
biggest motivations and inspirations are just being able to see how much my blog
has grown, the feedback I have received, other blogs, and the simple fact that
blogging is something I enjoy.
It was really nice to know more about you! You have a wonderful blog and I wish you success you desire. Have a sweet day!
