Paris My Sweet

As you have probably guessed by the decent amount of book reviews I post on this blog, I love to read. Getting lost in a book such a perfect way to relax at night – it is an escape from your own reality, a quick trip, and sometimes you even gain a few words of wisdom and a fresh outlook on different situations.

I get on different reading kicks: autobiographies, memoires, historical fictions, southern fiction, straight up fiction, and books that are set in Paris. Paris My Sweet, by Amy Thomas, is a book I had left over from when I was on my Paris kick a little while back, and I am so glad I finally got around to reading this adorably delicious book.

Amy Thomas, a person obsessed with all things French, is offered and ideal opportunity – leave Manhattan for Paris to write ad copy for Louis Vuitton. While working in Paris, Amy fell in love with the city of lights. Paris My Sweet is a love letter to both Manhattan and Paris, and the perfect road map to all things sweet in Paris. Through her wordage and imagery Amy uses she pulls the reader into the streets of Paris right along side of her.

Paris My Sweet is the perfect read for anyone who believes ‘Paris is always a good idea’ and for those with an extreme sweet tooth.
