Sunday Night Thought

iPhone 6 Or 6 Plus

Normally I am not one to get too excited about new technology or upgrades, but the other day when I was in the Apple Store I played around with the new iPhone and it is amazing! I love how the screen feels and the fact that the phone is so thin, plus I’ve heard the camera on the iPhone6 is pretty awesome. I’ve been up for an upgrade for a while, but I like my phone so I haven’t gone through the trouble of getting I new one yet, but after playing around on the new iPhone I am more than ready to ditch my current phone. The only problem now is that I am equally torn between the iPhone6 and the iPhone6 Plus – I like the size of the iPhone6 but I use social media, email, take pictures, etc. so much that maybe the iPhone6 Plus would be a better fit.

With the excitement of getting a new phone always comes the excitement of getting a new phone case! Below are a few of my favorite phone cases made by some of my favorite brads – they all hold up really well.

What are your thoughts on the iPhone6 v. iPhone6 Plus?

Friday Five

I haven’t done any version of a Five on Friday post before, but I figured what better night to try it out than a cold snowy, icy, winter night.

It has literally been 12 years since I can remember Nashville being so shut down, icy, snowy, cold, and white as it has this week. I have a whole new respect for Northerners – It is all fun and games till your car turns into an ice cube and you back porch a skating rink. Regardless it is still a beautiful sight in the morning to wake to the sight of the sun reflecting off the snow. Understandably, a lot of people started to get cabin fever after the first day and became resourceful. Ice Skating down a drive way looks like so much fun and is something I would totally do if I had a pair of ice skates and if I could ice skate.
I love old Hollywood  - I have so many books on Grace Kelly, Audrey Hepburn, Katherine Hepburn, and a few others, plus on of my favorite movies is Rear Window. There is just something so glamorous, classy, and intriguing about Old Hollywood. Needless to say I got a kick out of this quiz. My result was Grace Kelly {my favorite actress of all times} – which Hollywood Icon did you get?
I would like to give a shout out for such a beautifully written interview I did with her a few weeks ago.
The new arrivals at J. Crew are so perfectly springy! I am so ready for spring and summer and their new arrivals make me all the more excited! So in love with thistunic!
Kate Spade has come up with a ballot you can download from their Pinterest page to add an extra element of fun to your Oscar party!
Need I say more…

Happy Hour Time

Well, hello there Friday, it is so nice to see you again! What ever took you so long to finally arrive. For some reason every day this week has felt like it should be Friday, so I am glad the day has finally arrived! I never thought I would say it – I am always wishing for snow, but I hope the ice and snow in Nashville melts soon! I am all about the snow and the beautiful winter landscape, but ice…I can do without the ice. I say bring on spring and warm weather! Whether you plan on sledding, taking a trip to warmer climates, or just enjoying spending time with friends and family I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend with many great memories to be made. Cheers!

Rifle Paper Co. + Paper Crown

I probably post a little too much about stationary and paper goods on here, but I have a love for paper goods. Confession: I like to write notes/cards/thank you notes and often need to; I use this is an excuse to buy stationary in what some might consider excess. I have recently run out of desk drawer space to store stationery and have started to “display” the overflow on my desk - the Paper Source is a dangerous place….

I love all the whimsical designs that Rifle Paper Co. does, all of their stationery, phone cases, notebooks, etc. are all so pretty! Recently Rifle Paper Co. teamed up with Lauren Conrad’s company, Paper Crown, for a collaboration. Call me crazy but I never got into The Hills and the other reality show Lauren Conrad stared in, but I do love her blog and style; she has one of the best Pinterest accounts. Lauren Conrad and Anna Bond of Rifle Paper Co. collaboration includes a collection of clothing {cannot wait to see the collection} and a whole new line of paper goods.

The clothing line isn’t being released till the spring but the paper line is so cute and perfect!

A Very Minty Spring

A couple weeks ago I was shopping around the Nordstrom shoe department and noticed that the dominate color was mint green: mint green sandals, mint green heels, mint green running shoes, and so on. I’m going to go ahead and predict that mint just might possibly be a “spring color” in the fashion world this spring, fingers crossed.

In my honest opinion you just can’t beat pastels when it comes to the spring in summer season. The color pallet always seems to be so flattering on everyone and adds an extra element of brightness after a cold winter season. After all, who doesn’t look great in a beautiful shade of blue or mint green. Granted I may be biased – I have blonde hair and fair skin so baby blue, mint green, and white are my colors, plus they are the three colors that remind me of the beach; my favorite place on Earth!

I may be getting ahead of myself, but I have a strong feeling that we will be seeing a lot of mint green {and hopefully a lot of baby blue} this spring. To add a little brightness/color to such a snowy, icy, and cold day I thought I would share some mint green inspiration.
