A Quick Bite

If you ever find yourself in Seaside, FL and just happen to be hungry…I highly recommend trying one of the ever-tasty airstream restaurants. All the American classics are available in five airstreams that just happen to be lined up all together! You are bound to find something that strikes your fancy at one of these delightful little airstream restaurants; organic juice bar {not sure that’s really an American classic, but still delightful}, hot dogs, grilled chesses, BBQ, and good ole’ fashion snow cones, sure sounds like a good stop to me! My personal favorite is the grilled cheese airstream, after all who can resist a childhood classic and a trip down memory lane. If you are ever in the area and haven’t been to one of these tasty little stops, then you definitely need to put it one your to-do list!
Raw & Juicy Organic Juice Bar & Cafe
Wild Bill's Beach Dogs
The Melt Down on 30A {spectacular grilled cheeses}
Barefoot B-B-Q {best BBQ I have had in a long time!}
Frost Bites {needless to say this little place is tasty and refreshing}

View From The Top

There is nothing I love more about the beach then waking up and ending the day to a beautiful sky! To me the beach is one of the most relaxing places; what could be better then feeling the sand between your toes, the sound of the ocean, and the beautiful view! I don’t know who first made this statement…but life is definitely better at the beach.
“We are tied to the ocean. And when we go back to the sea, whether it is to sail or to watch – we are going back from where we came.”

Seaside

“AT THE SEASHORE
WITHNESS THE WONDER OF THE SUNRISE
LISTEN TO THE WAVES
BUILD SANDCASTLES
COLLECT SEASHELLS
SOAK IN TH SUN’S WARMTH
SMELL THE SALTY AIR
LEAVE FOOTPRINTS IN THE SAND
BEHOLD THE BEAUTY OF THE SUNSET
RELAX. REFRESH. RENEW.”

I’m on vacation at the beach this week…so keep your eye out for some fun beachey post this week!

Happy Hour Time

Oh happy day, Friday is here again! I hope everyone had a splendid Fourth of July and survived all the rain we had in the South this year! Luckily, even in the rain, down South we still know how to have a good time and celebrate the 4th. I hope everyone is in good spirit and ready to continue the long weekend. Cheers, to good time, great friends, family, and of course, Friday!

Puppy Love

In the South we love our dogs, down here they’re our children, well…fur children that is. In the South our dogs become part of the family; we give them Christmas presents, carry on conversations with them {one of my personal favorites, they can’t talk so you have to answer for them, that way you always get the right answer}, they go on trips {hunting trips, beach trips, and of course the family vacation}. Like any true Southerner I own a hunting dog, a black lab named Samantha to be exact. Samantha is the sweetest dog who has either somehow managed to find the fountain of youth or has an amazing beauty secret; she’s 13, acts like she’s 5, and has no grey hair. I also have a sweet, little dog; a Yorkie, Coco, who wears hair bows, and hasn’t the slightest clue how small she is or that she’s a dog for that matter. Here are some of my favorite breeds of dogs that are popular in the South!
Labrador Retriever
Yorkshire Terrier
Poodle
Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Golden Retriever
And of course, a picture of Coco & Samantha

So to satisfy your sweet tooth and show your patriotic spirit here are some dangerously delicious treats. Click on the name of the desert for the link, enjoy!
