I kind of love the fact that over the past few years girls/woman have designated the day before Valentine’s Day and Valentine’s as Galentine’s Day. When I was in college it drove me crazy when people called Valentine’s Day national singles awareness day – it had such a negative tone to it, but Galentine’s Day, now that is something I can definitely get behind. It’s just a fun opportunity for a group of friends {married/dating/single} just to get together and have fun. Any chance to extend the celebration of a holiday that involves the color scheme of pink and red I am about it!
