Southern Women & Pearls

A couple weeks ago Whitney from McKenzie Wild contacted me to guest post for her. Incase some of you missed my post over on Whitney’s blog I thought I would share the guest post I did for her.

Since my blog is named A Touch of Southern Grace I wanted to write about something that is oh so simply southern and that Whitney would enjoy, with that said what could be more southern than pearls! It probably goes without saying but Southern women love pearls, even our dogs love them (see above photo).

If you are from the South you probably already know that pearls are a wardrobe stable down here and that they are perfectly acceptable to wear literally anywhere and to anything! There are also a few places/events where pearls are basically a requirement - horse races, tailgates, church, Sunday brunch, etc.; needless to say if you are a Southern Lady you need some pearls! I honestly wore a long pearl necklace to the Y to work out the other day because, well... let's face it when you are having just an ok day jewelry and makeup are just the thing to lift your spirits! Incase some of you all there don't have any pearls below are a few of my favorite picks from this season!

I think even these fashion icons would agree that there is never such a thing as too many pearls and that pearls are perfect for any occasion!

Thank you so much Whitney for inviting me to guest post on your blog, McKenzie Wild, last week! If you haven’t checked out Whitney’s blog yet be sure to swing by!
