Sunday Night Thought

Hostess Gift Guide

The hostess gift guide has always been one of my favorite guides to put together. I love Christmas themed kitchen items and home décor, and small items that just happen to make the perfect hostess gift.

If you have every hosted a gathering of any kind, then I think we can all agree that a hostess gift is always in order. Plus, for me personally, I always feel slightly rude showing up to a gathering at someone’s home sans gift… anyone else? A hostess gift is always a simple and nice way to express your appreciation, even if it is an item as simple as a bottle of wine. Here are a few Hostess gifts that any Hostess with the Mostess will love!

One// Juliska Country Estate Winter Frolic Party Plate Set of 4

Juliska’s winter print will always be one of my favorite holiday collections. They managed to find the perfect shade of red that could so easily be mixed with other holiday prints. Perfect for any hostess

Two// Mark & Graham Celebration Beaded Mini Tray

As far as I am concerned, silver pieces have a place at every single occasion, regardless of how formal or casual, big or small the occasion might be. This is the perfect gift for the classic hostess

Three// Red Tartan Luxury Crackers, Set of 6

If you are going to a small gathering, I feel like this would be such a fun hostess gift to end the night with. Let’s face facts, we all still have an inner six-year-old, and I feel confident in saying, that everyone would experience a level of excitement over this one

Four// Christoper Radko Kris Kringle’s Cookie Break

Honestly, this is a can’t go wrong gift. Everyone always needs just one more Santa ornament for their tree.

Five// New York City Ballet Tree Bottle Opener

I really love the collection that Anthropologie and the New York City Ballet came out with. It is just so perfectly whimsical.

Six// Merry & Chic Hardcover Book

I had the chance to flip through this book a few weeks ago, and swoon. It is filled with drink recipes, holiday recipes, and home décor inspiration.

Seven// Nutcracker Cheese Knives, Set of 3

This is a gift where you need to buy one for yourself and one for your hostess gift. Nutcrackers are such a Christmas classic and just really perfect for any occasion.

Eight// Ginori Trinket Box

I dinned at Bergdorf’s Ginori Café over the summer, and feel in love with not only the food, but Ignore dishes as well. They are just so stunning in person and I love the fact that you can mix and match all the colors to your hearts content. Just a really perfect hostess gift for a special friend or family member

Nine// Diptyque Sapin (Pine Tree) Classic Candle

Candles and wine are probably the two most classic hostess gifts. I really love how Diptyque candles are a step up from some of the other candles out there. Their packaging turns an otherwise simple gift into a somewhat decorative piece

Ten// Pearl Wreath Cocktail Napkins

Love all the cocktail napkins this company creates. These classic wreath cocktail napkins would be the perfect for the friend who enjoys an aesthetically pleasing drink at the end of the day.

Eleven// Chappy Wrap Boxwood Wreaths Blanket

This is one of my favorite purchases I made last year. I am a firm believer that everyone needs a Chappy Wrap

Twelve// Estelle Colored Wine Glasses, Set of 6

Estelle took the social media world by storm a few years ago, and I am 100% here for it. This is such a fun way to add a pop of color to any holiday table

Thirteen// Rizzoli ‘A Life in Good Taste’

Fact: Coffee Tables can never have too many coffee table books on them. I just love how it looks when a coffee table is covered in books, candles, decorative bowls.

Fourteen// Peter Rabbit Christmas Mug

This is such a sweet mug for those early morning hot drinks.

Weekend Shopping

I love lazy, cold weekend mornings spent in bed with my 2 yorkies, scrolling the internet and either reading a book or watching some of a favorite movie. I think it is safe to say that everyone is excited for the holiday season this year. Where I live there are some stores who have decided to skip over Halloween and Thanksgiving and go straight to Holiday windows. Honestly, I kind of respect that decision; it takes so much time and effort to decorate for the Holidays, I say enjoy it as long as possible! For now… here are some of my favorites from my weekend browsing.

One// Loeffler Randall Clara A-Line Quilted Skirt

I’m really into the whole white skirt thing for fall and winter this year. I really love the fact that this skirt has a quilted detail to give it a more season appropriate look

Two// Sarah Flint Mirjana Loafer in Olive Suede

I feel like Sarah Flint is just the queen of fall shoe designs and color schemes. These olive Suede loafer with topped with one of her signature bow details is just fall perfection. Side note: the quality of her shoes are amazing; some of mine are at least five years old and still look like new. 100% work the investment.

Three// Stubbs and Wootton Accoutrement Sage Velvet Slippers

Stubbs and Wootton shoes are just so timeless and so classic. The bow and crown detail on this pair have a strong hold on my heart.

Four// GAP Cotton Oversized Sweater

I have seen this sweater all over Instagram. Oversized sweaters are a fall staple of mine and I just really love the cut of this one and the fact that it is made of a lighter material for those early fall days.

Five// Herringbone Cawley Blazer

Is it even fall if you don’t wear a blazer at some point? This blazer is perfection. Herringbone print, flattering pockets, and slimming fit. Honestly, sent from blazer heaven.

Six// Sezane Gabriello Coat

There are no words to properly describe my feelings towards this coat. It is so chic and just so perfect. Swooning…

Seven// Veronica Beard Valentina Shearling Sneakers

I am that person that will wear a sweatshirt in the middle of summer. I am always slightly cold, so shearling sneakers are strongly appealing to me.

Eight// Sezane Seraphine Scarf

I purchased this exact scarf in the light blue and white houndstooth a couple years ago, and it is still my most favorite scarf I own

Nine// Hill House Hime The Blythe Dress in Metallic Brocade

For the past few holiday seasons Hill House has done this style of dress in various colors and prints, and I have to say, this year’s print is by far my favorite. I will say the only downside about this dress is that it is on the short side, so unless you are in high school or your 20s (aka an age you can get away with it), you will probably need to pair this dress with tights

Ten// Damson Madder Antonella Cotton Pajama Set

Over the past year I have become such a fan of some Damson Madder pieces, pajamas being one of them. The color combo of these and the bow ties just make these so perfect for the holidays

Eleven// Ignore Oriente Italiano Rubrum Cuoio Rosso Candle

I have a candle obsession and Ignore has just taken it to a new level. These candles are just stunning

Twelve// Merry & Chic

I love this book. Decorating inspiration, cocktail recipes, and recipes from famous women. This is a book worth falling in love with

Thirteen// Hill House Home Cleo Headband

This headband has Blair Waldorf written all over it (iykyk). The classic print and silhouette of this piece will be in your fall wardrobe rotation for years to come.

Fourteen// Dr. Barbara Sturm 7-Piece Winter Kit

One of my favorite things about the holiday season is all the beauty gift sets. It is such a great opportunity to try out some new products or use as a gift. This seven-piece set is an amazing deal. If you haven’t tried Dr. Barbara Sturm, you need to, as soon as possible!

Fiveteen// Peter Rabbit Christmas Tumbles Set of 4

Peter Rabbit is just timeless and seeing the sweet character created by Beatrix Potter just brings back so many warm memories.

Sixteen// Slip Pure Silk 4-Pack Skinny Scrunchie

I love how Slip comes out with a scrunchie gift set every holiday season. I sleep with my hair in a bun every night and this is what I use – they are honestly the best!

GHow To Source The Best Quality Wholesale Fashion Finds

The average consumer doesn't know this, but a surprising number of the clothing brands they're used to buying actually make their clothes in the same factories, use the same materials, and are essentially the same quality regardless of price.

This clearly means that price and quality aren't always directly correlated in the sometimes hazy world of fashion, despite what luxury retail marketers may say. If this information leaves you questioning everything you thought you knew about clothing production, keep reading!

What Does High Clothing Quality Mean?

Quality is a broader concept than you might imagine, but it's extremely important to understand when shopping for wholesale clothing. Quality of course refers to how many "wears" an item is expected to last for without obvious signs of wear, but there are other less obvious aspects.

High quality items shouldn't just last a long time because of their durable materials and well done garment construction, they also need to look good! This means selecting the right fabrics that look and feel luxurious, paying attention to flattering fits and cuts, opting for high-end hardware and details, and ensuring consistency in sizing and construction.

All of these desirable aspects put together make up a garment that customers will love not only the first time they try it on, but the hundredth too.

Why Quality Matters

You may be under the assumption that these standards are too high to aim for when shopping for trendy wholesale clothing, but you'd be wrong. Wholesale clothing comes in a wide range of quality, some of which is produced in the exact same places as "high-end" brands.

This means with some attention and research, it's entirely possible to score high-quality wholesale garments for your store at competitive prices. Although it takes extra effort to scout out the best options, the time invested almost always pays off in the long term.

High-quality wholesale clothing selection matters because it helps establish your own brand's reputation. Nothing earns customer loyalty better than consistency upon each visit, and long-term satisfaction with previous purchases.

Loyal customers make up the backbone of any business, and they do an excellent job of bringing in new interested buyers. Brand reputations are built upon the backs of loyal customers who write positive reviews, wear your items, and spread the word via mouth and social media.

The Fool-Proof Way to Find High Quality Wholesale Clothing

When searching out the best wholesale clothing options for your brand, quality should be top of mind. The specific niche you cater to in terms of clothing styles and customer demographics should be noted to account for what specific designs and fabrics they prefer.

Beyond that, doing due diligence when seeking out suppliers is your best weapon. Reading up on the pros and cons of different fabric compositions, what good stitching density looks like, and how to spot straight seams will already put you a mile ahead of your competition.

Any reputable supplier will have no problem sharing all the details of their garments, and many will even be so kind as to send samples. Examining samples gives an opportunity to assess quality in-person. Laundering the item can also give you an idea of how well the item will hold up over time once it's in the hands of your customers.

The most important part to remember is that there's no shortcut to sourcing the best wholesale clothes, but researching, reviewing, and working with a reputable supplier will have you well on your way scoring exactly what you're after.

Most Popular On ShopMy

I signed up for ShopMy last summer but haven’t really used it at all until recently. Now that I am kind of getting the hang of ShopMy, my love for this new-ish platform keeps growing. I love how different things can be arranged by shelves and that it kind of gives a fun Pinterest type feel to the user experience. If you haven’t tried out ShopMy, you should most definitely give it a go! And… you can now all your favorite influencers and creators to your circle to make browsing easier.

I really love how they have a most popular items section. I think it is so fun to see what you all like to browse and shop. Most things are pretty neck and neck, but there are always a select few items that are far more heavily shopped than the rest… So, I thought it would be fun to share the current most popular items on my ShopMy page!

One// Crewneck Jack Sweater

Neutral sweaters are such a wardrobe staple for me. I am constantly cold, so a versatile sweater I can pair with dress/skirt/pants is a total win for me.

Two// Juliska Puro Tortoiseshell Vase

I gave this vase to my mom a few years ago as one of her Christmas presents, and it has become one of her most used vases. Beautiful in the pictures, but even more beautiful in person.

Three// J. Crew Barn Jacket in Plaid Double-Faced Cotton

Barn jackets seem to be everywhere this season, and I am 100% here for it. I am in love with this J. Crew barn jacket… fall plaid, gold buttons, brown details. Complete fall perfection.

Four// Sezane Othello Cardigan

All it takes is the purchase of one Sezane sweater to start a complete Sezane cardigan obsession – consider yourself warned… I really love the effortlessly classic styles they offer. They are just the perfect addition to every outfit

Five// Sezane Crossbody & Shoulder Bag

Rich browns have a hold on my heart this fall season and seem to be absolutely everywhere! I feel like this crossbody looks so elevated, but at a reasonable price point.

Six// YSL Vanity Bag in Raffia Wicker

Over the summer raffia Wicker seemed to have a hold on everybody. I feel like this is a lifetime piece. It is just so interest and has such a personality. If you take care of her, I feel like this is definitely a lifetime seasonal bag.

Seven// Polo Ralph Lauren Quilted Barn Jacket

Ralph Lauren is one of my favorite designers, his classic taste and ability to stay relevant is really something to be admired. If you are looking for a barn jacket that is a bit more tailored, then this piece is for you.

Eight// Veronica Beard Alexie Suede Midi Skirt

One of the first “adult” skirts I had was a red Suede Midi Skirt that I had to have for a middle school Christmas performance. I thought it was the most fashionable and sophisticated thing I had ever worn. A couple decades later, I still think suede skirts are oh so sophisticated, and this is really, really beautiful!

Nine// Dolce Vita Alizza Suede Ballet Flats

Can one ever have too many ballet flats? I believe the answer would obviously be no… I love the fun strap detail with the gold buckle as kind of a fun twist on a timeless classic. Really love Dolce Vita flats – reasonable price point, great styles, and in my experience the ballet flats have been amazingly comfortable.

Ten// Ralph Lauren Cotton Utility Jacket

This jacket is just the picture of fall. This utility jacket is another great classic Ralph Lauren piece that is made to be loved for years to come.

Eleven// Tory Burch Romy Suede Tote

This is such a great casual, everyday bag for the fall and winter. I love how roomy this bag is and how the material is the perfect amount of slouchy without being too much.

Twelve// Ferragamo Tote Bag

Love the closer feature on this bag. Such a great investment piece

Thirteen// Lilly Pulitzer Teddy Boucle Shift Dress

This dress is even better in person. I love how it isn’t your traditional Lilly dress. The unexpected arrival of tweed in a tropical (store) climate just really stood out from the rest, in only the very best way.

Fourteen// Williams-Sonoma Quick Bread Mix Spiced Peacan Pumpkin

Williams-Sonoma is my favorite store this time of year; I will even stop in just to decompress. This is one of my most favorite holiday food items of theirs – try it, you all will love it!

Fifteen// Elemis Pro- Collagen Cleansing Balm

I am about anything that could possibly be anti-aging or make skin look more youthful, Such a great product!

Sixteen// Bistro Tile Stoneware Candy Bowl Halloween Edition

I am not a Halloween décor specific person at all, but the bistro style of this bowl just makes me go weak at the knees.

Seventeen// Le Jean Zoe Gigi High Rise Skinny Flare

I really love the fact that any style of jean is in right now. I honestly really hope this stays a thing… at the end of the day it’s fun to change things up and some styles are just more flattering than others. If you are on the hunt for a flare pair of jeans, then these are a pair you need to check out!

Eighteen// Peter Thomas Roth Instant Eye Easy

I haven’t tried this product yet, but I have heard the best review about this eye cream. It is a temporary fix, but if you are little tired this product will give you a refresh.

Nineteen// Sarah Flint Natalie Flat

This flat is one of the best wardrobe investments you can make. I love how this shoe can be dressed up or down, and they wear so incredibly well; I have some Sarah Flint shoes that are over five years, and they still look like new. The new colorway is so beautiful. Use code: SARAHFLINT-LAUREN-15 for 15% off your first Sarah Flint purchase.

Twenty// Lake Pajamas Long-Long Set

Lake Pajamas are a favorite of mine – the Pima cotton takes the sleeping experience to the next level and the have some of the prettiest colors and prints.

Sunday Night Thought

Links I'm Loving

I really feel like September is zipping by, but at the same time, I feel like Labor Day was forever ago. The fact that today is the very first day of fall has made my entire week. I just love this time of year more than words can describe. It is such a cozy season full of nostalgic moments and traditions.

One// Tiler Peck

If you loved ballet when you were little, I am convinced that you still love the magic that is ballet when you’re older. Tiler Peck is such an iconic person in the ballet world right now.

Two// Nostalgic Millennial Movie Sequels and Reboots

I really love how there are so many millennial classic sequels being made. I am especially excited for the sequel to The Devil Wears Prada!

Three// Sarah Flint Natalie of Venus

Every year Sarah Flint comes out with a limited-edition pair of Natalie flats inspired by a famous piece of art. This year’s pair is inspired by Botticelli’s iconic Renaissance masterpiece. Use code SARAHFLINT-LAUREN-15 for 15% off your first pair of Sarah Flint shoes

Four// NY Times Best Fall Recipes

Fall and Winter food over summer dishes, every time for me. The New York Times has compiled a list of their best fall dishes and some of these just look beyond amazing!

Five// Petite Plume Holiday Collection

I know I am jumping the gun on the holiday season, but honestly, this time of year brings me so much happiness, so I don’t really care. I’ve already started listening to Christmas Music. Petite Plume’s holiday collection could not be any perfect. Love their classic plaids, stripes, and holiday prints

Weekend Shopping

Is anyone else already dreaming of a relaxing, lazy Saturday morning spent in bed with your favorite book and some light online shopping?

The fall fashion game is strong this year. There are so many things this year that I am so tempted by… Anything in houndstooth or a deep, rich brown just has a hold on me right now. Anyhow, here are my finds from this past weekend!

One// Varley Chase Mid Rise Skort

I have had my eye on the Varley skorts for so long. I love how they all seem to have that classic look but with a classic twist. Really love these for around town or for their actual intended purpose

Two// Bottega Veneta Andiamo Bag

This is going to be such an unpopular opinion, but I am not a huge fan of Bottega bags… I still think they are beautiful bags, but they usually don’t appeal to my personal aesthetic. However, the color of this particular bag is just so deep, rich, and beautiful, I feel like it would be an annual fall staple for anyone

Three// Reformation Brooklyn Polo Sweater

I am completely smitten with the slouchy, slightly oversized polo sweaters. This is hands down my favorite I have seen so far this season.

Four// Williams Sonoma Cinnamon Apple Butter

Williams- Sonoma is one of my happy places. I love wondering around their stores and looking at their cookware, bakeware, glasses, dishes, cookbooks, and everything in between. Then always level up for me when the September hits and they start rolling out all the holiday and season treats. I spend like nine months just looking forward to the release of the pumpkin and apple butter release.

Five// Marea Louisa Skirt

I am in love with this skirt. It is such a great transitional piece and the color and pattern is beautiful.

Six// Stanley Quencher

Can you ever have too many water bottles. I really like the flip straw feature on this one and the shade of pink.

Seven// Barbour Luella Waxed Jacket

Barbour has the market on waxed jackets. They are such classic pieces that will last you basically a lifetime. Really like how this one is a little bit more detailed than normal with the contrasting pockets and the plaid cuff details

Eight// Loeffler Randall Noelle Ballet Flat

Gold ballet flats, need I say more…

Nine// Vineyard Vines Wool Blend Fair Isle Sweater

I love a fair isle sweater. They are just so classically festive and have such a nostalgic vibe to them. I really like the colors that are used in this one. In full honestly, I usually like these types of sweaters a bit more oversized and boxier so I can wear them with either pants or a sweater, but I’m here for the color with this one.

Ten// RD Style Bea Houndstooth Quilted Barn Jacket

Barn Jackets are having such a moment this year, and I am so hear for it. I really love the houndstooth one, and this one is really beautiful and under $180

Eleven// Hermes Terre d’ Hermes Pure Perfume 3-Piece Gift Set

Full confession, I feel in love with the packaging and didn’t realize this is a gift set for men until I was putting together my weekend shopping series. I decided to include it anyways because the packaging is so beautiful and men are soooo hard to shop for and this really would make such a great gift.

Twelve// Hill House Home The Cosima Nap Dress

I have the short version of this dress in the seersucker gingham print from the summer and it is such a flatter style. I love the new rust stripe for fall; it would be perfect as is for right now and beautiful with a sweater over it when the temperatures start to drop. I went up one size from the size I wear in the Ellie – I felt like the smocking looked nicer in the size up for this particular style

Thirteen// Halloween Icon Juice Glasses

Anthropologie has the cutest fall and holiday home décor pieces. These juice glasses would be so fun to go with your fall breakfast, especially if you have children old enough where cups being glass wouldn’t be an issue

Fourteen// UGG Tasma Slipper

Does anyone else remember the 90s clog that I had the same trim as these? I was in elementary school at the time, so obviously, I don’t remember the brand, but it seemed like everyone had a pair. I really love the fact that some of the classics of the 90s are currently influencing fashion today.

Fifteen// Ferragamo Animal Print Mini Bandeau

I really love bandeau right now and how many ways they can be used – wrapped around the handle of a handbag, worn as a hair accessory, tied around your neck, and even wrapped around one’s wrist as a bracelet. The print on this one is stunning!

Sixteen// Merit Beauty Flush Balm

Merit Beauty products definitely live up to the hype. I have their beauty balm in a different shade and it has lasted me almost a year and the seamless, natural look it creates is really beautiful.

Seventeen// Ralph Lauren Metallic Rope Anchor

The classic belt trend has a hold on my heart right now. It is such a flattering look to belt a dress or have a classic fall look of jeans and a tucked in shirt complete with a belt.

Links I'm Loving

Is anyone else completely exhausted after this week? I am so glad it is the weekend, and everyone can take a deep breath and enjoy the slightly cooler weather. I know some people say that everything good happens between the months of June and August but Fall and winter have always seemed to be special times of the year, for me, in different ways. So, I am excited to see what the next few months hold. For now, here are a few links I am absolutely loving from this past week!

One// David Lauren and Lauren Bush Lauren Keynote Speakers at the

Antiques & Garden Show

This is probably a Nashville specific thing… However, I am so ecstatic that David Lauren and Lauren Bush Lauren are going to be the keynote speaker at the Antiques and Garden show, January 9, 2026!!!

Two// LAKE Pajamas Madeline Sweater

I have this exact sweater in the Driftwood colorway, but the new English Navy Banker Stripe sings to my heart. I also really appreciate that LAKE made this sweater the perfect length to wear with either jeans or leggings.

Three//Addison Bay Fall Collection

I am so obsessed with all things fall at the moment. The summer season always seems to be soooo hot now a days, and the thought of a crisp morning air and the crunch of leaves under my feet just makes my heart feel lighter. This new collection is really very beautiful and so perfect for fall!

Four// Inside Jenna Ortega’s Bag

I feel like Jenna Ortega is having such a moment right now and people have absolutely gone crazy for her as Wednesday Adams. I have to say, her dance scene was just iconic. I really love watching the ‘what’s in my bag’ type videos and this one is a really good watch

Five// White Lotus Season 4

I was such a late comer to the White Lotus Party, but now I am completely obsessed. I mean, could Parker Posey have been any more perfect in the last season… their casting is always so spot on! I am so excited for the new season and the fact that it is set in France!

My Top 5 Favorite Fall Recipes

The summer heat is finally starting to give way to cool mornings and crisp nights. I know a lot of people are sad to see summer go, but mentally, I live in the fall and holiday season year-round, so no surprise I am glad the fall season is slowly taking over.

Fall food and fashion my top two favorite aspects about this season. Who doesn’t love wearing an oversized sweater, a fire crackling in the background, and a classic movie playing all while enjoying a hot something delicious.

One// Salsa Verde Chicken and Rice Tortilla Soup

Half-Baked Harvest has so many recipes that are so perfect for fall. I love how her dishes always look so rustic and comforting. This soup is one of my most favorite things I have ever made. It is just such a warm, flavorful hug in a bowl.

Two// Stuffed Peppers

Love the Pioneer woman and this is a recipe of hers I make on repeat. It always makes just the right amount of leftovers and it is the best healthy comfort food dish to have on a cold night. Also, does anyone else have a weird thing about eating beef after seeing so many videos of cows on social media…? That said, I substitute ground turkey (butter ball is my favorite to use) for the beef in this recipe, and it taste so delicious!

Three// Friendsgiving Casserole

This is one of my mom’s favorite dishes; she has been talking about making this since July… and I must agree, it really is very excellent. I feel like creative people are usually creative in more than just one area, and Joanna Gaines has some of the best recipes. Try it, you will fall in love with this dish.

Four// Chicken Pot Pie

I came up with this recipe a few years ago when I couldn’t find a Chicken Pot Pie recipe that I really loved, and this is always such a crowd pleaser. I was going for a southern grandmother type pot pie, and this could not have turned out better.

Five// Slow Cooker Turkey Chili

Obviously, chili had to make the list. This is another Pioneer Woman recipe (she nails Tex-Mex type dishes), and it is honestly the best chili I have every had. I really like how the ground turkey element makes this dish feel a little lighter and really appreciate that it isn’t overloaded with beans. This is one dish you will find yourself making repeatedly.
