Crushing On Meryl Streep

Movie trivia {biased} fact: every movie that Meryl Streep and/or Tom Hanks is in is basically guaranteed to be a great movie. Last night I was watching Julie & Julia and I completely feel in love with Meryl Streep all over again. She can steep into a role so seamlessly and truly transform into her characters. It seriously blows my mind that when Meryl Steep first started acting she was told she was ‘too ugly’ to play a part… I mean, seriously!? I bet that producer kicks himself every time he sees her in a movie.
Since it’s Friday and it is supposed to snow {fingers crossed}, and since everyone loves Meryl Streep, here is a roundup of some of my favorite movies, featuring no other than Ms. Streep herself!

The Devil Wears Prada// Meryl Streep took on the role of Miranda Priestly so perfectly. I would have been shaken in my shoes if I were Andrea.

Mamma Mia// Is it just me or did it kind of annoy anyone else that the older Donna didn’t have a bigger role in the second Mamma Mia? Regardless, loved both movies! The music and choreography is bound to put anyone in a good mood.

It’s Complicated// This is such a great rom-com! Random, but was 2009 really 10 years ago… I love all the characters in this movie. Not to mention that Meryl Streep’s character has such a beautiful house. Honestly, sometimes I watch this movie just so I can see the house.

Julie And Julia// Okay, 2009 was a good year for movies, apparently. What happened to all of the sweet, cute, feel good movies anyways? This movie hit the spot the other night. Other than the fact that Julie’s character was acting like 30 is old…

The Iron Lady// I am such a fan of historical movies and anything that has to do with Britain. Meryl Streep’s portrayal of Margaret Thatcher was incredible.

The Post// Meryl Streep and Tom Hanks are both in this movie. Need I say more?
