Blue Christmas

Incase you haven’t guessed by reading my previous post, I fully embrace the month of December! It is the only time of year you can openly listen to Christmas music {I may or may not sporadically listen to Christmas music through out the year}, trim a Christmas tree with beautiful ornaments, watch Christmas movies, and just enjoy the holiday season. One of my favorite things to do on a cold December night is curl up in my bed with a cup of hot chocolate, some Christmas M&M’s {my weakness}, and of course a Christmas book, it is the holiday season after all!

I just finished reading Blue Christmas by Mary Kay Andrews, this book will make you laugh, cry, and smile. I absolutely fell in love with Weezie and the antique store she owns. With only a week left till Christmas Weezie is busy decorating her shop in a Graceland Blue Christmas motif for the Savannah historical district decorating contest. Once Weezie is sure she has on-upped the “trendy” shop around the corner it comes to her attention that items from her Christmas display strangely go missing. In spite of the minor burglaries of her mysterious midnight visitor, she has high hope for the Christmas season. Weezie has a romantic interest that surprisingly is not very into the holiday season and becomes a little distant; she also has somewhat of an eccentric family and friends, which makes for a fun story line. Blue Christmas is a fun, festive, and the perfect book to read after a long day when just need something light hearted to take your mind off and things and relax.

  1. I'm the same way with the Christmas music, I secretly listen to it during the year, then after Thanksgiving I put it on full blast. I'll definitely be adding this book to my reading list.

    1. We have this thing Called Christmas Village which is kind of like pop-up Christmas shops. Then the Jr. League of Nashville always does a little Christmas market type thing at the end of November.
