During summertime in the South
one of my favorite things to do is sit by the pool or preferably an ocean and
read a book. I have always been an avid reader and a lover of books. I believe
one’s choice of books and taste in literature helps to form who you are as a
person; each book becoming a piece of you. For me, when I open a book it is an
escape from reality, a book is the least expensive vacation a person can take.
Stephen King is extremely accurate when he said, “books are a uniquely portable
magic”. So this summer sit on your porch or by the pool with a tall glass of
Southern sweet tea and get lost in a book.
